How The "Big Dog Club" Works:
It's really very simple. If you put your Harley on our dyno, and it makes over 85 horsepower, you get a free patch. The patch proclaims your membership in one of four classes:
What makes being a member of the Big Dog Club so special isn't the free patch: It's the fact that if you have one, your motor did good! 84.9 horsepower won't get you a patch, onto our web site, or into the Big Dog Club!
We have made a few changes to the Big Dog Club:
- We now categorize the Big Dogs by the year they were inducted.
- Engine horsepower will be shown on the left side of the graph.
- Engine torque will be shown on the right side of the graph (if available).
- Engine RPM will be shown on the bottom of the graph (if available).
- All graphs will be posted with a "smoothing" value of 4 (unless it drops the peak horsepower below 85, in which case the smoothing will changed to 3 -> 2 -> 1).
- New for 2002 and beyond:
- If you have an 85c.i. engine, you must make 85+ horsepower.
- If you have an 88c.i. engine, you must make 90+ horsepower.
- If you have a 95c.i. engine, you must make 95+ horsepower.
- Anyone who makes 100+ horspower is in (no engine size restrictions).
